DataJungle's Dashboarding Environment for the Microsoft and Cognos Business Intelligence Platforms Now Delivers Powerful Scorecarding Capabilities
Jan 31, 2007 9:15:00 AM
OTTAWA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 01/31/07 -- DataJungle Software (OTCBB: DJSW) today announced the release of Matrix 4.5. Matrix is the only business intelligence (BI) front-end for the Microsoft SQL Server and Cognos business intelligence platforms that delivers dashboarding, multidimensional (OLAP) analysis, collaboration, annotation, Web reporting, and mobile alerts in a single, integrated end-user environment.
This release of Matrix introduces a number of major enhancements. One of the most significant is the ability for users to integrate scorecards directly into their dashboard views. Leveraging the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 KPI Framework, customers can define the individual metrics they wish to monitor, set up alerts and rules, show trends, apply sophisticated methodologies such as the balance scorecard approach, and view the status of these key metrics in the context of their Matrix information dashboards. Matrix also allows users to immediately drill into and further explore the factors driving their scorecard metrics.
Other significant enhancements provided in Matrix 4.5 include:
-- Total end-user control over functionality, layout and organization of
dashboards;
-- Enhancements to caching for improved performance;
-- Support for Oracle relational data;
-- Drill-through to multiple SQL Server Reporting Services reports;
-- Enhanced administrator controls;
-- Multi language support;
-- Enhanced export to Excel -- including the exporting of all Matrix
dashboard annotations; and
-- Dozens of other usability and functional enhancements.
"Matrix represents a new class of BI software that is unlike any other," said Denes Bartakovich, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of DataJungle. "Not only is it the only dashboarding environment that provides true information self-service, freeing end users from dependence on the IT department, it is the only solution that allows users to integrate non-quantitative information with their operational data -- all on top of their existing Microsoft and Cognos BI platforms. The addition of powerful scorecarding means that we deliver all of the key BI capabilities that all classes of information workers require. Matrix is a unique product in a very large and rapidly growing market. The interest in this product has been tremendous."
Matrix 4.5 is now available to selected customers. General release is scheduled for February 28th, 2007.
