What do you think when "The Law" as spoken of from the Bible.? I thought I would looked it up in my Interpreter"s Dictionary of the Bible-----no way I could get through it or absorb 10%, 25 pages on the subject of the law-----However----at the beginning this caught my eye, I cannot really discuss it, but, certainly food for thought.....made me look at the term law differently......but then the next 24.9 pages could change everything......but something for you good folks to think on....

"OT TERMS FOR LAW.---The basic term for law in the OT would appear at first glance to be "Torah". In Judaism this term is used to designate the first 5 books of the OT, the Penateuch, Its actual meaning, however, is not "law" but "instruction", "guidance", "direction". Torah is that which points the way for a faithful Israelite and for the community of Israel"
