Actually, $ETEK appeared to maintain exceptional volume even despite the removal of the few market makers and the new SEC rule. There is no manipulation or anything else happening here other that traders selling. That is the only actual thing that changed.

In addition, 200 million in volume was maintained by a single market maker the other day. That is not just ok, that is exceptional. What is likely to have happened here is that some very deep pocketed trader decided to sell his/her shares. It will simply not matter at the end.
