I hate to be the one to break it to ya, but the logistics of administering a 5 day course of IV brilacidin to non-infected people would be, shall we say, somewhat daunting. Not to mention impossible and impossibly expensive.

The current trial will have nothing to say about brilacidin's efficacy or otherwise in prophylaxis and extensive trials would be required before this could even be considered.

But there aren't enough hospitals or other centers where IV drugs can be given to make this even a faint possibility.
