Many on this board have brought up the possibility of buyouts with probable good clinical data that might be forthcoming. My expertise does not lie in this area. I am putting forth a hypothetical to gain some clarity. If Ipix were bought out by per se by Gilead for 5 Billion dollars. What happens to my shares in Ipix if I had 500,000 shares. My math may be inaccurate, but would the share price be elevated to about $12 per share? Then, would I own Gilead stock at the price of sale? I would greatly appreciate those who are familiar with stock sales/buyouts for edification of such a scenario. Thanks in advance.
