"I imagine there will be more $.000001 trades as people remove the ticker from their accounts so they can take the loss on their taxes."

Assuming that other retail brokers are doing as eTrade, they will not be allowing any sell orders of Expert Market securities which are Market orders.

Only Limit orders will be allowed and the minimum allowed price on a Limit order is $0.0001.

So, there is no way to create a sell order that will allow selling at $0.000001. The market will have to come back to $0.0001 if experts who can buy on the Expert Market want to buy more shares from retail traders.

No more 9,900% gains for the experts from buying at $0.000001 and selling at $0.0001. That party is over.

The only way that shares held by retail traders get liquidated below $0.0001 is if they declare them to be worthless securities so their broker can presumably return them to the corporation's transfer agent as dead shares.

Then, the retail trader gets to claim the full amount of the purchase price as a tax deduction and that is still true even if the ticker symbol gets delisted. Delisted securities identified in one's portfolio by the CUSIP number can still be declared to be worthless to allow for a full tax deduction.
