SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- March natural gas climbed 11.6%, or 80.3 cents, to close Tuesday at a more than six-week high of $7.74 per million British thermal units. Weather forecasts called for below-normal temperatures to continue past the second week of February. March crude rose 5.5%, or $2.96, to close at $56.97 a barrel. Reports that Saudi Arabia will implement further production cuts this week sent the contract to its strongest closing level in three weeks.
