Paul Ausick seems to believe SQM and Albemarle are going to be allowed to bid on the five 80,000 metric tonne LCE allocations but I will contend he is wrong. If the Ministry of Mining were to let SQM and Albemarle bid then the entire international/gringo lithium industry would be up in arms/protest that this new bidding program is just a poorly-masked Fascist giveaway to their brother Fascists and Chile's attempt at being more fair/inclusive will fail miserably on lift-off as every gringo will simply go back to Argentina (and Bolivia soon) to try and cut a non-fascist lithium mining deal avoiding any more fascist bullsheet (ie shape-shifting) from Chile.

Paul Ausick is 50% right in that there are two (4-2=2) remaining possible contenders for the 5 bids on lithium export quotas... it's Lithium Chile Inc on the Chilean/Bolivian border (perhaps ready in 2-3 more years on approvals/design/paperwork/EIA?) and us (MSB-SpA) in Maricunga (basically ready now on approvals/paperwork/design/EIA).
