Can someone tell me the process where the market makers get shares initally from the company in order to trade??Then they make them available to public to trade(buy first and then to sell),so when these are all used up ie..sold,do they then buy more??someone must purchase original shares from company...and company can also buy those back at a lower price...so eventually the only place for the shorts to show up is with the MM's,is this correct??
If there is any other process i am leaving out please someone fill me in........
