There is no federal statute of limitations for the crime of murder. And as to the jurisdiction of individual states; “Usually, any state in which an essential part of a crime has been committed can prosecute the offender. The NNVC case was civil not criminal. And if the investigation by NNVC had revealed collusion between Mako and Rosen, the civil case would have proceeded anyway. I suspect that the threat of criminal penalties in this case and the resulting plea bargaining will bring significant new information to light.
