When I was working we'd do international payroll payments to our expats based in the UK. I dealt with one exec who had opened an account in Jersey, an island off of the UK. It's a tax haven.

The transfer was a pain to set up and I asked him why since everyone else was banking in the UK.

He said KPMG told him to open the account there.

I told him I'll forget I heard that.
