communicating via emails. Cheap and expected from a company which is losing money (but paying CEO's salary, I'm sure). Poor guy thinks he's a smart guy, but is doing nothing for those that financed the losing business.

Communicating via emails to wholesalers who signed up for his email lists, to inform them of new products, is an extremely smart and cost-effective move, and completely expected. It would be bad if he WEREN'T taking advantage of this obvious means of communicating with wholesalers.
