Critics of ivermectin cite the lack of evidence, cases in which versions of the drug have instead caused harm, and the effect interest in the drug has on vaccination efforts.

Many on the Left have questioned the promotion of any COVID-19 therapeutic, even ones that have proven effective against the virus, such as monoclonal antibody drugs, because they argue unvaccinated people will avoid getting vaccinated if they mistakenly believe COVID-19 has a cure.

It appears the CDC believes it's a safe drug. Or, used to.

Scientists who developed ivermectin won the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine in 2015, when the foundation said the drug “revolutionized therapy for patients suffering from devastating parasitic diseases.”

In fact, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends refugees coming to the United States from most parts of the world take ivermectin as a “presumptive therapy.”

Yet, the story is different when seeing a Covid case comparison of the US and India. Especially, deaths per 1 million population and the new deaths column. Keep in mind population size and denser living conditions. Active cases column also interesting.

India appears to be doing well overall in comparison to the US. I wonder why that is??? Their early Ivermectin usage???

The only reason people try buying ivermectin from the feed store is dr's aren't allowed to prescribe it for covid. In looking at the experience India has had, most countries aren't following the science on this issue. And, that is of concern to many due to causing a lack of trust in large parts of the population.

We don't know this till we get the results later this month.

Secondly, the same folks who wouldn't think twice about taking a drug meant to clean aquariums, or one meant for horses, will find a way not to take this. That's 50% of the country itself. Of course, this wouldn't present a problem in other countries, but is a factor here.

I am keenly awaiting the results of our trial.
