Serious Issues with Molnupiravir

If, similar to Tamiflu, Molnupiravir should be taken as soon as possible after the beginnings of a covid infection, it will suffer the same fate as Tamiflu -- very effective, but not used anywhere as many times as it potentially could be. This also implies that accurate, inexpensive, personal-use, quick returning covid testing will be widely available to individuals and institutions. To date, this is far from established.

This does not mean that Molnupiravir will not be very helpful for covid patients, but, with all of the other potentially drawbacks it is subject to, it is not the massive game changer as now being lauded in the media.
