You can keep making that inference and defending against it all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that no one (at least not me) ever implied that they would never test with spider silk. I agree, that would be an absolutely dumb statement... which is why I never made it. I only commented on the stupidity of testing with a material that you're not going to be using the product you'll be making... to which I still haven't heard a plausible argument for.
