announces today that it has delivered the first fabric samples to Spydasilk Enterprises...These first sample fabrics blend traditional silk with cotton to produce a composite, blended material
1) Why is this news? It contains ZERO spidersilk. It's just normal silk & cotton. WTF are they wasting money to pay for a PR to tell people this?!? I mean, I'm sure they have plenty of money to waste after all the shares that they've been dumping in the last few months, but this PR was useless! How about you let us know when you finally deliver some of the product that you've been claiming you've been producing for the last 10+ years!
2) If there's no spidersilk in these "fabric samples", why couldn't these have been made and given to Spydasilk Enterprises 6 MONTHS ago?!? These probably could have been bought off the shelf YEARS ago!
Once these sample fabrics have been tested and approved, the Company plans to begin weaving several thousand yards of finished fabric incorporating its recombinant spider silk.
So you already have your spidersilk produced, but you want to wait until these non-spidersilk fabrics have been approved before you're even going to start weaving your spidersilk? If spidersilk is so different than silkworm silk, what's the point of using non-spidersilk first? This also implies that the final fabric used by spydasilk is not going to be pure spidersilk, it's going to be a spidersilk-cotton blend. Could we get some ratios in the PR that you paid for? Is it 90% spidersilk and 10% cotton? Or 10% spidersilk and 90% cotton?!? Oh, wait, KBLB doesn't ever give actual numbers, just bold generalizations that lets readers jump to (usually wrong) conclusions.
