Some good news for a change. I was able to finally (after countless efforts the past 3 months) get a hold of a higher up at UNQL. It took a friend of mine who works at a boutique broker here in CA to make the connection and I owe him a drink or 2 for doing this.

Anyway....here is what I was able to glean from the call. And bear in mind that he/she made sure to stress many times that anything he/she told me was NOT insider information and that anything said could be liable to change.

Cliffs....

The company is very aware of the stock slide and is preparing to do things to correct that. They are shocked that it got this low as they were assured by their 'stock guy' that it would never go this low again. More importantly there are certain company events imminent that require the stock to be higher so it is imperative it gets back to a better level.

From the sound of it a much more concerted effort will be made towards PRs and IR/awareness. This would include being much more active on social media especially after.....

The planned merger takes place. And yes it is still a go and he/she seemed very excited about it as it brings much more net income to the company (assuming it happens).

Dilution has been in he/she's words "a real bugaboo" but he/she does expect that once this current dilution is done they should be able to use their bank loan for any further expenditures there by limiting dilution.

He/she would not offer a forecast on the stock price other than to say "we are all disappointed but at the same time very optimistic that things are about to turn around soon".

Sorry I cannot say more but you get the general idea of things. I would say I came away impressed with what I heard and it has given me a new sense of optimism about UNQL.

I would be even happier if/when it gets back to at least 10 cents.
