Yes the MSFT case is on hold pending the outcome here.

In my opinion, Which I stated months ago, they should have let the MSFT case continue to move forward. However, the attorneys on the case and Thom have their reasons why they put it on hold. Maybe their strategy works and maybe not.

TX was/is patent friendly and the Judge in TX was not bound by the ruling in Casper's court. We may have had a different outcome, and had it much quicker, which then could have influenced the outcome in Boston or at least make it more difficult for her to rule against WDDD.

TX seemed to have a higher percentage of favorable rulings protecting patent rights. A favorable ruling there, and the legal reasoning behind it, could be taken into consideration (but not bind) any Court reviewing/deciding WDDDs case.
