I view it as a congregation all getting together and helping like minds. A gathering of a group of people who really want to help each other.

You got it right with my sister's experience. She is stuck writing checks that her ass can't cash.

But she found love and sobriety through them which is something I couldn't do until she began our journey with me.

She met her hubby on 'christian mingle' lol and I still give her shit whenever we speak but it did really help her.

I try on my own, without giving praise to anyone I've never met and most likely won't meet. I talk to friends who don't frequent the church and try to figure out where I'm headed.

It's a chore but I place the blame on myself for everything I've done and don't expect some higher power to pay for my mistakes. I fix them myself and move on.

Maybe it's just me but I can't subscribe to that bullshit.
