Back then KMAG's monthly volume was in the hundreds of millions along with the eyeballs of every penny trader at the time. No reason any scammer in his position wouldn't see the cash cow they possessed, take full advantage of it and/or think it's ATM potential would end anytime soon. So diverting all the time and effort to create another for those purposes doesn't make a lot of sense. Or at least wouldn't until using the other golden goose to raise enough capital to purchase all the heavy equipment needed to ensure Trio's production from day 1. There's no reason not to doubt the mine's potential given the successful mining in that region and survey he had done for that property. Which doesn't really matter without equipment that's not on its last leg, enough if it and the capital to support a crew big enough to run it. Doesn't help the first two or three winters had to contend with seemingly endless polar vortexes. Anyone who's experienced cold like that would fully understand the issues it would cause.
As for him conjuring up some custodianship like scheme.. I haven't seen anything public from him to plant such a seed, or anything else for that matter. The fact we're even talking about it means this all started because people reached out to him. I'm sure the new rule taking effect soon is what spurred that. Which in all fairness have to take his tendency to tell people what they want to hear into account. Someone calling him because of the rule deadline would already know the answer they wanted, custodianship or getting current. I could see someone feeling they got the confirmation they were looking for without him actually saying either himself. That's not to say there isn't anything to go on. You'd have to think there's a purpose for adding Rob Rosner being added to the company profile as CEO, President, Secretary and Treasurer. Why bother if letting TRII go Grey is a foregone conclusion?
