The pop today makes my shares 4500% green. Problem is the volume would not even cover my position--and it is not a large position. Just a few share I picked up on a partial fill at below a tenth of a penny. I have a crazy GTC order in that expires at the end of this month. I only need the price to do again what it did today for it to catch... and with a little more volume. : - ) Otherwise, how is it going, Gare?

Caledonia Mining sees big profit jump in 2024; welcomes gold's move above $3,000

Caledonia Mining Corporation PLC (AIM:CMCL, NYSE-A:CMCL) chief executive Mark Learmonth talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company’s strong 2024 financial performance and strategic priorities following the release of its latest results. Learmonth reported a “strong end to a reasonably good year,” with annual gold production reaching approximately 78,000 ounces—within guidance—supported by favourable pricing. He highlighted that “gross profit for the year was 77 million, compared to 41 million last year,” with adjusted earnings per share rising sharply from less than $0.10 in 2023 to nearly $1.30 in 2024. The results were delayed due to a technical accounting issue, with Learmonth explaining this stemmed from a deferred tax calculation error dating back to 2019. He stressed it had “no impact on our actual tax liabilities and tax payments.” On project development, the feasibility study for the Bilboes project has been extended to evaluate options that could significantly reduce capital costs. These include the potential to export concentrate and relocate the tailings facility, potentially lowering upfront investment needs. Exploration at both Blanket and Motapa returned positive results. Learmonth noted that the Blanket resource base has been extended, and early work at Motapa uncovered “exciting mineralisation” in new areas. With gold prices currently above $3,000 per ounce, the company is focused on maximising cash flow and investing further in Blanket and other revenue-generating opportunities. Trevi Therapeutics advances cough treatment pipeline, eyes key clinical milestones

Trevi Therapeutics CEO Jennifer Good joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss the company’s progress in advancing its cough treatment pipeline using nalbuphine, a mixed agonist-antagonist opioid. Originally developed for acute indications, nalbuphine is now being repurposed due to its dual mechanism of action, working both peripherally in the lungs and centrally in the brainstem, offering a novel approach to treating chronic cough disorders. Trevi initially explored multiple indications, including skin conditions caused by severe itching and neurological cough. However, compelling clinical data led the company to focus on cough-related indications. Good explained, “We thought our drug was different because not only does it work peripherally in the lung, it works centrally at the brain, which mediates coughing and breathing.” The company is now targeting three key areas: interstitial lung diseases (including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, or IPF), refractory chronic cough (RCC), and other neurological cough conditions. Following promising Phase 2a results in RCC—an area where many previous drug candidates have failed—Trevi is preparing for a Phase 2b dose-ranging study. If successful, only one pivotal study may be required before regulatory filing. Oriole Resources wraps up pivotal 2024, targets major gold milestones in 2025

Oriole Resources PLC (AIM:ORR) CEO Martin Rosser and CFO Bob Smeeton take Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company’s latest full-year results and upcoming milestones across its key exploration projects. Rosser highlighted a pivotal year for the company’s Bibemi and Mbe gold projects in Cameroon. At Bibemi, a recently completed phase five drilling campaign is feeding into a revised Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), expected this quarter. “We believe there's very good potential to not just increase the amount of gold, but also improve the category of the resource,” said Rosser. The company is also advancing an exploitation license application for the project. At Mbe, maiden drilling continues, following trenching results that indicated strong mineralisation. “We think Mbe South has significant potential to host a substantial gold deposit,” Rosser added. Smeeton detailed a £2 million reduction in operating loss and financial support from BCM International. “Since year-end, BCM have given us $1.1 million, largely replenishing CapEx,” Smeeton noted. He also confirmed progress on a joint venture agreement with Managem at the Senala project in Senegal. Rosser pointed to potential sector-wide revaluations driven by high gold prices and possible M&A activity. “Oriole’s shares are significantly undervalued,” he said. Itaconix CEO on 2025 strategy and profitability goals

Itaconix PLC (AIM:ITX, OTCQB:ITXXF) CEO John Shaw joined Steve Darling from Proactive to provide an update on the company’s progress following its strategic restructuring and to discuss what lies ahead for 2025.
