I think it is beneficial from a public policy objective to encourage more owner occupant housing. But that policy objective should easily be directed towards FHA and not Fannie or Freddie. Besides that there is already considerable private capital available to finance investor properties. Doesn't tim mayoupaulos compete directly with him running blend labs? Now valued at $4 billion.
