Kevin A. Richardson, II
CEO & Chairman of the Board
Kevin A. Richardson, II, joined SANUWAVE as chairman of the board of directors in August of 2005. The previous year, he founded Prides Capital LLC and Prides Capital Partners LLC, where he is managing director.
From 1999 to 2003, Richardson was a partner at Blum Capital Partners, a $2.5 billion investment firm, where he was the lead public partner on 18 investments. Prior to Blum Capital, he worked with Tudor Investment Corporation and Fidelity Management and Research, where he managed funds in aerospace and defense and performed research in a variety of technical, financial, healthcare, and IT industries.
Richardson is also on the boards of publicly traded multichannel distributor As Seen On TV, Inc., and travel technology company, Pegasus Solutions. Previously, he served on the boards of Healthtronics and QC Holdings. Richardson received an undergraduate degree from Babson College and an MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.
John F. Nemelka
Director
John F. Nemelka, M.B.A. was raised in Mapleton, Utah earning his M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1994 and his B.S. in Business Administration from Brigham Young University in 1990. Mr. Nemelka founded NightWatch Capital Advisors, LLC in 2001, was a partner with Graham Partners private equity fund while managing the Graham Group’s alternative investment portfolio, and worked at Smith Barney in the Industrial and Transaction Development Groups as well as having worked with the Head of the Investment Banking Division working on strategic planning and operational issues. He has also served as CEO of the public company SWK Holdings. Mr. Nemelka currently serves on the Board of Trustees of The Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine (proposed) and is a strategic partner at TractusMed, LLC which is developing a national repository for anatomic pathology data.
Michael Stolarski
Director
Mr. Stolarski founded Premier Shockwave, Inc. in October 2008 and has since served as its President and CEO. Previously, Mr. Stolarski served as the Vice President of Business Development and Acting CFO of SANUWAVE, Inc., President of the Orthopedic Division and Vice President of Finance for HealthTronics Surgical Services, Inc. and CFO and Controller of the Lithotripsy Division of Integrated Health Services, Inc. He holds a MS in Finance from Loyola College, Baltimore and a BS in Accounting and a BS in Finance from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Dr. Maj-Britt Kaltoft
Director
Dr. Maj-Britt Kaltoft joined the Company as a member of the board of directors in June 2017. Dr. Kaltoft is a Danish citizen. She holds a MSc in Biochemistry and PhD in Protein chemistry and Molecular biology from the University of Copenhagen and a Master in International Business Administration from Seattle University. Dr. Kaltoft brings 20 years of international specialization in development and successful execution of business development strategies, contractual structures and alliance management within all sectors of the life science industry. Dr. Kaltoft currently heads the business development and patent functions at the Danish State Serum Institute, an institution under the Danish Ministry of Health. She has obtained outstanding results in the areas of business development, licensing and alliance management in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry at Lundbeck, Nycomed, EffRx and Novo Nordisk.
Dr. Tom Price
Director
Dr. Price brings over 30 years of medical practice and knowledge to SANUWAVE. Dr. Price has extensive experience in public service, serving the state of Georgia in the statehouse followed by 12 years in the House of Representatives.
Dr. Price holds a BA and MD from the University of Michigan and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Emory University in Atlanta. He entered private practice in 1984 and returned to Emory as an assistant professor in of orthopedic surgery in 2002. He was director of the orthopedic clinic at Atlanta’s Grady Memorial Hospital. Dr. Price’s political career began as a Member of the Georgia Senate from the 56th district from 1996 to 2005, he was the minority Whip from 1998 to 2002, and the Majority leader of the Georgia Senate from 2002 to 2003. He served in the US House of Representatives from Georgia’s 6th district from 2005 to 2017, during which time he served as Chair of the House Budget Committee from 2015 to 2017. In February 2017 he was confirmed by the Senate as the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) and remained in that position until September 2017. Currently Tom serves on the boards of several privately held health care companies and non-profits as well as consulting and advising companies.
