But San Francisco has a plan.

Starting in October, they will pay “high risk” people $300 per month not to shoot each other or participate in violent crimes.

“My desire is to get to them, not to just make an arrest, but to get to them and to try and figure out if they would be willing to work with us on something that is an alternative,” San Francisco Mayor London Breed said at a Violence Prevention Summit. “We can’t just put them in a program without making sure that they have money, without making sure that they have something to take care of themselves,” she added.

Of course, with San Francisco facing a massive budget crisis, a lot of folks are asking how they plan on funding this program.

The answer is just as moronic as the program itself.

Mayor Breed is diverting funds from the city’s law enforcement budget to pay violent thugs $300 a month not to shoot each other.

It’s not hard to see why people are fleeing California in droves.

Democrat-controlled cities like Chicago, Philadelphia, and San Francisco have some of the most strict gun laws in the nation.

But they have more gun violence than places where people are legally allowed to carry a firearm.

That’s why you will burst into laughter when you hear the new way San Francisco is hoping to stop violent thugs from shooting each other.

Barack Obama’s Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, once famously declared that “you never want a serious crisis to go to waste.”

Unfortunately, this is the motto of the Democrat Party, whose solution to every crisis is more government and less freedom.

For example, just look at all the ways Democrats used the COVID-19 pandemic as an excuse to trample all over the liberties and freedoms of the American people.

Whether it’s shutting down the economy, enacting draconian mask mandates or so-called “vaccine passports,” every solution offered by Democrats involves government tyranny.

But there is no crisis Democrats like to exploit more than gun violence.

Every time there’s a shooting in the country, Democrats use it as an excuse to try to ram gun control into law.

Of course, even though the majority of shootings occur in Democrat-controlled cities with strict gun control laws, the Democrats solution is always more restrictions and regulations.

But officials in San Francisco have a new plan to stop violent thugs from shooting each other after shootings spiked in the city this year, with 119 gun crime victims in the first half of the year alone.

This is more than double the number of gun crime victims during the same timeframe in 2020.

But San Francisco has a plan.
