Exactly! The mild Covid cases, and possibly even the everyday flu or cold, might be best treated by a Brilacidin inhaler. I am looking forward to those Phase 2 results!

Brilacidin is a therapeutic. It would not really be intended to stop the spread of covid. In the lab, it kills the virus ( covid, covid variants, other viruses, bacteria, possibly fungi; and it also has anti-inflammatory effect). If it works as well in patients as it did/does in the lab, it would END the pandemic and problems associated with it. It could be given to hospitalized patients which would/could/should cure them/ prevent them from progressing to severe disease and ventilators. It could be given to asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic patients to end their infection and prevent it from worsening. In that scenario, YES, it would help to prevent the spread of anyone with covid by decreasing or elimination their viral load. We would not have to wear masks, shut down businesses, be afraid to go out, etc,,,. as there would be an effective treatment for those that needed it. How great would it be to take it at first sign of even the common cold (virus) and not get sick!!!
