02:16 PM EDT, 08/26/2021 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia (NVDA), a maker of graphics chips, said Thursday that it has acquired DeepMap, a startup focused on building high-definition maps for self-driving vehicles.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Nvidia said in a blog posted on its website that DeepMap is expected to extend Nvidia's mapping products and expand its self-driving expertise.
