Xena/Hog: Well, I actually thought the short sales WOULD be transparent onLevel II (I guess I could have called my broker).

BUT, if short buying is just as legal as regular buying - and regular buying is transparent on Level II - then it begs the question: why aren't short sales transparent on Level II?

This is the problem I have with short buys - in a certain way it just smells even though I understand the thinking behind it. As in sports betting you can bet AGAINST a team that you think will lose the game, etc. etc.

Should be the same in stock trading.

But, I'm just a humble musician - don't know that much about these things. :)
