No treatment? Pneumonia can be and is actively treated. You are mistaking a pneumonia (inflammation) treatment for a Covid treatment. From that article I linked to:

It's the accumulation of dead cells and fluids caused by Covid that makes a fertile ground for pneumonia to develop.

The idea is rather than treat pneumonia (or any form of inflammation, for that matter) avoid getting the Covid in the first place!
