This great article in the Economist addresses the question that so many obsess over here, what determines the stock price, supply and demand, traders, etc. I subscribe in print so I was not able to pull the electron copy. Using the site below will just get you the first couple of paragraphs, the teaser. When our son left for college I told him to read the first page of the Wall Street Journal, the weekly Economist and later, finance pages of the NYT to stay really informed on the cheap. FWIW
