It gets even better....

In researching SIPI I see they are a "refiner" by definition, but they specialize in refining end of life products and scrap material.

From SIPI's website;

Precious Metals
Our roots are in refining. With over a century of accumulated metallurgical science, we recover maximum value from precious metals contained in manufacturing byproduct, e-scrap, mining and other materials.

PRECIOUS METAL MINING COMPANIES
Mining companies typically extract 90% of the gold or silver recoverable in their materials. The remaining percentage, however, often remains out of reach, tied up in by-product that require more specialized handling. Sipi offers smart, efficient ways to reclaim as much value from that by-product as possible.

Recover Every Last Nugget
Sipi has developed unique processes for gold and silver ore refining customers who need help reclaiming value locked up in by product they cannot recover efficiently themselves. By combining our custom-built equipment with our metallurgic science, we can turn what would otherwise be lost opportunity into revenue

Hopefully SIPI can recover something from the filters. But it appears disingenuous convey this as a normal refining practice. By sending the filters to SIPI Mexus is likley tipping it's hand that the product in the filters is not at a normal level for refining material, but more on the level of what normal mining companies treat as by-product.
