The five-day extension actually gives the company an extra week to file.

Quarterly reports are due 45 calendar days following the end of the quarter. So the report would have been due on Saturday, 8/14/21, which was yesterday. But when a report due date falls on a weekend the report is not due until the next following market day. So our report was not due until tomorrow, 8/16/21.

But now that they filed for a five-day extension, the report would be due on Saturday, 8/21/21. (Extensions go into effect on the due date, not the date of filing for the extension.) But again, since 8/21 is a Saturday, the company has until Monday, 8/23/21 to file.

Nice way to get an extra two days out of a five-day extension!
