I assume you're talking about the picture of a chunk of quartz with visible gold that was posted on the Mexus site. I think it was pretty and an indication of the value of the quartz vein.

I agree, if you tried to leach that rock, all you'd get was the gold on it's surface. You know that, I know that, and so do Paul and Cesar.

So, what makes you think that that piece of quartz will ever be placed on the leach pad - at least in it's pictured form? My guess - and it's only a guess - is that it'll head, eventually, to the ball mill for crushing. There's a shake table on site, as I recall, to separate the gold from the "chaff".
