Bill Gates - Backs Vicarious?

Near as I can tell Gates hasn't invested as much in Vickie, as MDT has invested in TMDI...... Oh well.

02.15.19 On Thursday, Vicarious Surgical announced that it had closed a $10 million round of funding led by Bill Gates’ Gates Frontier. The company will use this money to continue to develop its technology combining surgical robots and VR. Not absolute details, but the article is specifically vague about the exact amount from Gates, so all we can assume is it's not the entire amount raised.

08.10.20 This may seem like science fiction now, but after raising $13.2 million in fresh funding, Charlestown-based Vicarious Surgical is one step closer to making this vision a reality. The round was led by E15 Capital managing partner Philip Liang, with participation from existing investors including Bill Gates and Khosla Ventures. Liang will join the company’s board of directors. Again, not the entire amount raised.

03.15.21 The SPAC deal’s total also includes a $115 million private investment round that has attracted the medtech giant BD as well as Vicarious’ previous high-profile backers, including Bill Gates, Khosla Ventures, Innovation Endeavors and E15 VC. AND AGAIN, not the entire amount raised. And this last round is delayed until lawsuits are addressed.

Some on this board would lead the uninformed to believe MDT's meager investment isn't worthy. But that initial investment would appear to be more than a "high-brow" source, of recent questionable repute, to a possible competitor.

I'm open to any additional contributions that state otherwise, or add further numeric details. I ask for the whole truth. This is all I could find.

Sad. It would appear that we aren't being presented with the whole truth.

Good luck to all. Regards,BK.
