WASHINGTON - Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Friday that a congressional resolution opposing President Bush's troop buildup in Iraq amounts to undercutting U.S. commanders in a way that "emboldens the enemy."


Four American soldiers were abducted during a sophisticated sneak attack last week in the Shiite holy city of Karbala...Two of the four were handcuffed together in the back seat of an SUV near the Iraqi town of Mahwil. A third dead soldier was on the ground nearby. The fourth soldier died on the way to the hospital.

While they play politics, our soldiers die.
