The GSEs are very powerful companies

These companies since being private have never been in financial
distress.

In the financial crisis of 2008 other companies were also forced to
take a loan that they did not need or want.
Just ask Jamie Dimon that question and he will have a similar story to
tell you about scam GOVT loans his company did not want and did not ever need that
they were forced to take for no reason whatsoever.

It was all just a pack of lies.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac only have one problem...a very big leech sucking blood
money out of them.
