I think you are over estimate your value as a stockholder. YES, stockholders help a company to grow as an investor. The MAIN reason a stock holder invest in a company is purely selfish, they want to make money for themselves. Without the company coming first there would be nothing to invest in, hence the investor works on a principle of greed. The CEO also has self-interest in making money for himself as well, but he also has another reason its called pride. When a CEO does well, he takes pride in his accomplishments and the company, always striving to improve the company for both monetary and prideful reasons. The Company existed before there were share holders; a company grows by producing a product of some sort that is useful to society. If what they produce is not useful the company will fail on its own. A company and shareholders have a sort of a love-hate relationship, when things go well everyone is in love with the company, when not everyone hates the company. The difference is a shareholder can move on if he is dissatisfied when the company is doing poorly, the Company must just endure and keep trying to succeed. At present Bishop is all things to the company; Owner, president, CEO, etc…, as well as an investor in the company. Bishop will keep trying to make money for the company and I as a greedy investor will go along for the ride.
