hi bbotcs, I'm not a Democrat, I'm a Reagan era Republican. Sadly, that party no longer exists. It is now the party of My Pillow Guy and people who can't count votes. So I'm not represented well by either party.
As for surveillance, our privacy is an illusion. as long as you have a credit card, bank account, and a smart phone, the government can figure out what you've been up to any time they feel like it.
but if you're asking if government tends to be way too involved in trying to control our everyday lives then the answer is yes. and the social justice left is bent on thought control, which I have serious issues with. the far right is doing a pretty good job with mind control too. so I want nothing to do with either group.
