Been in the quarter several times since Katrina. Cop on every corner, almost no homeless panhandling, very little trash (ocasional puddle of puke though, LOL). Haven't been since COVID but after Katrina flushed a lot of ilk from the city to Houston and Dallas I felt very safe in the quarter.
