You know how some of us like to watch the "buy" and "sell" volume each day. I always assumed those totals were who initiated the sale. A buyer or a seller and then the market makers handled it. Well today for the third time in recent weeks, I just put in a limit buy for 100 shares at 2.85. It was filled between the bid and the ask at 2.85. I initiated the buy order. It appeared in today's total though as a sale of 100 shares. This is the third time I have seen this. I try to buy 100 shares a week and never paid attention before. I know this is trivial but now I know I cannot depend on the true buy and sell totals to get a feel for the attitude of the general public.
