Ephesians 1: 13-14
13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
Not to complicated is it, should not take a rocket scientist to understand it. --- We hear the Word--Truth which is our salvation, we accept it and we "BELIEVE"---then we are sealed with the Holy Spirit.
Once I---You---They---accept Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, God puts The Holy Spirit in each of us who believe, we are sealed with the guarantee of our inheritance. We are heaven bound...YES!! we will stumble, trip up, fall down, get all dusty, maybe even dirty, but we have our ticket into heaven. I think it is over in 1st John, we sin and ask for forgiveness and we receive forgiveness. I have had folks totally disagree with me on this very belief of mine, but, I do believe that we may drift away, we may get into all sorts of wrong stuff, but somewhere along the line the Holy Spirit pulls us back where we belong. Jesus, Himself said "that whatever God puts into His hand, no-one can take away."----Now this belief of mine does not give us the right to go and just do what ever we choose, if I believe that, then I doubt that I ever had the Holy Spirit to begin with. I personally fall sort of God's standard every day, but , every day I am made aware of it and that awareness comes from the Holy Spirit. Do not confuse the word "believe" with how we use it today, in our times we just say, YEP I believe, but in Scripture "Believe" is like glue, we stuck to Jesus Christ, to believe is not just a thing of the mind but a thing of the heart---to believe is to act out what we say we believe in------and that my friend is not always an easy thing to do, our human side kicks in and we mess up---I say this from experience
OH WELL, enough thinking material for one morning----God Bless
