Intel versus the rest of the world. Do you find this imagination pretty? I mean, for Intel?

It couldn't get any better than that. I call it the "Highlander"
scenario - in the end there can only be one.

That simply means Intel's process development bucks
are zeroed in exactly those attributes precisely useful
for high performance MPUs.

All other process development will be a big soup with
thousands of cooks. Because it is thus shared it has
to be acceptable for a huge variety of applications so
it has to be one big compromise and thus mediocre
for high performance MPU design and manufacturing.
