Here is my experience with TDA. I have two penny stocks in which the company went bankrupt and when i filed my taxes, the history of my purchased price has disappeared on TDA 1099. The Turbox software that i used kept asking me to enter.the qty of shares, purchased price and the closing price of this company/stock symbol because it couldn't find the history transaction of the stock, so i skipped hoping to deal with it later. and moved to the next section of Turbo Tax. Two weeks had past..i resumed working on my Turbo Tax finished and submitted it to IRS but i forgot that i have skipped that section .. Damn Ameritrade,, i might have lost $4k on tax write-off since i missed entering it. There are two companies that went baknkrupt and TDA could not trace the transaction/history of the stock. We spent hours with Customer Service but they could not locate the transaction of these twp stocks
