Steve Kirsch talks about 'cognitive dissonance', and how people will not accept new information if it is too far out of alignment with the accepted framework of broader society. Getting jolted out of one's comfort zone isn't pleasant, so we shouldn't be surprised at people's reluctance to entertain 'conspiracy' ideas.
Personally I wish I could 'unlearn' a lot of this stuff. I was happier and a lot more optimistic back in the old days. The 'positive thinking' gurus out there like Tony Robbins stress that we should concentrate on things we have some control over. While the NWO ghouls are going to advance their agenda regardless of what we do, I figure it's important to at least have some idea what's coming.
But as Mark Twain said - “I've had a lot of worries in my life, most of which never happened.”
