if you have vcsy stock in an ira account and it's the only stock or cash in it, they charge money for your ira......if you don't have cash , they could, might sell your stock .........then you might have to go to court to get it back...better to get the broker who moved the rest of the account to another stock house to move enough money to cover the shares.....
my brokerage moved all of their clients stocks to another institution, except wellsfargo wouldn't allow the move cuz they couldn't value vcsy. they bought it but now they don't have a value...so, protect yourself...
