going by yesterday's post and my intentions of discussing John's starting of his Gospel---"In the beginning", well, I gave this much thought and really thought I had it all nailed down, thought I knew exactly how to explain my understanding, matter of fact things were so clear that I started to write it all out last evening, then this morning I just knew not to go here, no need to go where there could be so many different opinions and cause dissenson, which would or could take away from the true point, "WE BELIEVE"----our faith says God did, how He did it, is unimportant, the important thing is I/we believe, my faith carries me through. I was just about to shoot myself in the foot.

I will offer a thinking point or 2, ----the Bible speaks of creation as day 1 thru day 7. For me to better understand this I had to understand "DAY" as used in Scripture. Day in Hebrew is "yowm, (yome). A day in Scripture can be the time of daylight, "from sunrise to sunset", a day can be a civil day--"a space of time of 24 hours, from sunrise to sunrise" & a day "maybe used loosely as the period of action or state of being"---a space of time, an age. In Scripture we see the "Day of atonement", the "Day of Judgment" & so forth.. SO, when I would read Genesis I thought of day as I use the word day now days. Morning and evening can be used as the beginning & ending of an event---a period of time. Now if this grabs your attention and you think I fell out of a tree and landed on my head, allow me to point this out---"it is not until
Gen. 1: 14-18" that we have our 1st 24 hour day. Day 1, 2 & 3, I view as a period of time, which allows me to understand how Science and Scripture work together. Just my opinion here, I have to know a bit about one to understand a little about the other....as my grand-daughter taught me, "jus say'n"---I suppose it is only fair to say that back a couple of years ago my grandson taught me this----he said "PaPa, did you know?". I did not, but I learned----Just remember, that no matter how you view the creation, it is your faith that "God did" and your faith is what is important.

I came real close to messing up on this one----God Bless
