Investors just want transparency, they don't want to be told that things are imminent and just waiting for lawyers to go over the final documents (2 yrs. ago), and just waiting for signatures...la la la....then we saw nothing develop....no updates or specifics were provided.
Then came the 'asset monetization financing' press release about a year ago, this sounded very promising! and got eveyone's hopes up, but very scant detail was provided.... and nothing has materialized....
Then came Covid, and of course that provided cover for all companies, accurately or inaccurately, this became the excuse for all non performance and delays, providing perfect cover..
And then came the REE analysis (in play now) positioned to possibly sweeten the financing terms (if the REE's constitute profitability and increase margins and are process-able on site).... while we wait for this analysis (no status or transparency from the company has investors frustrated),
While all the press/analysts tout the epic need for these critical elements and REE's and even the most casual observer (non savvy investors) would easily conclude that all the stars are perfectly aligned to procure financing and get projects underway, however NIOCORP just can't seem to pull it all together and get the ball over the goal line. They seem to constantly be going off on tangents, i.e., gubment loans/grants, REE contribution to revenue, blah blah blah....
Hard to believe we would not have ALREADY looked into these contingencies well before the 11th hour, doing 'what if financial modeling at different price points for CE's/REE's.... hmmmm (instead of starting these studies ONLY NOW - at the time when the iron is hot and the timing is perfect to close this financing and get construction started)!! The world, and in particular our country, which has mismanaged and been squeezed by CCP, Needs these elements and minerals desperately..... LET's treat this with the criticality it deserves, and not quibble for a few percentage points or a 'many strings attached' gubment loan. Everyone can make up their millions on the backend when the mine is running... the PERFECT FINANCING is a mirage...
Finally, I am still optimistic or i would not be here hanging in there, and i, like all investors, have every right to provide my opinion, I am not a shorter/basher, i am an optimist and see a de-risked stock here in NIOBF, but for crying out loud NIO, with all the tenured management (over 75 yrs of mine experience, world class contacts at major mining companies, important financial institutional relationships, etc. etc.. etc... you should have the ability and experience to EXPEDITIOUSLY bring this project to next steps, unless there is a glaring issue/obstacle in the feasability of this project that is not being discussed.....
