This is exactly the logical way to think this.
So instead of taking cash for a salary, he's taking it in shares instead. Cash is king, nonetheless... except when there's more in future value in shares. .
He must be confident what the share price is going to be in how many months down the road?

My thoughts/opinions are my own, based on research & DD, best to find your own! I invest for myself/ family 1st, then everybody else.. the same as any business!
