Since B was noted effective against the Delta variant in the laboratory research presented by GMU, it is likely Russia was able to observe its effects in clinical trial as well, a fortunate turn of events. Is remdesivir (as) effective in patients with the delta (or any) variant by itself? That might be an important way to differentiate the two and allow B a place of its own.

If results of trial are as exciting as the GMU research, Putin is in an enviable position. If he begins driving the bus on this one, what pressure does that place on the US regulatory agencies? It seems like if there isn't an expeditious response, and Russia steals the show, they would lose even more credibility with the American public at an already volatile time shaded with increasing suspicion
