WHY I’M NOT SELLING still…
I tell family/friends all the time to listen and connect dots to get in stocks early. I hear things from clients and on the golf course. First heard about NLST from Hong’s friends while golfing in N.Virginia (where he grew up).
After my own DD I invested in NLST for the patents and lawsuits. I’m staying for their tech. Learning that HydriDIMM is the next gen tech for data centers was the kicker.
MY DOTS… One of my companies is a vendor to data centers (mission critical facilities). If someone gave me a choice of any industry to be in in last 3 years - it’d be data centers. They are going up everywhere, they are the future cuz how much space cloud services and redundancy requires. We just opened an office in Herndon, VA cuz Loudon County has over 15M SF of data centers and growing. Dept of Def is expected to spend min $10B over next 10yrs for cloud services alone (all data centers), FED is expected to be $40B+.
I believe there are more suits/settlements/licensing upcoming after GOOG, MRVL, MU…the big one could be AMZN. Learned from my clients AMZN is one of the biggest provider of data centers in the world. Initially thought it was cuz AMZN needed that much space for their own needs. Turns out they have another profitable division providing both rental space for clients’ servers as well as full ala carte services where clients can rent AMZN servers. Look up aws.amazon.com/. Apparently AWS surpassed
$40B
annual revenue in 2020 w 45% market share of cloud infrastructure market, more than double their next closest competitor, Microsoft Azure (per GeekWire).
My sister and bro-in-law (both are ecstatic they invested in NLST last year, and holding) asked me yesterday - then why hasn’t NLST sued AMZN yet? My response - NLST is prob “talking” to them (as Hong noted) as well as others. But NLST cannot sue every infringer at once, too much legal expense.
So as dominoes fall, there will be more to come.
Netlisters will one day be grateful to SK Hynix. They provided the funds for NLST to go out and hire a top legal team.
This is why I believe NLST is the next AMD QCOM…
