Addressing your post,

Anybody want to start guessing why they want to buyback shares? Maybe they need shares for more deals. Maybe they’re trying to signal to the market that we are undervalued. Maybe a huge partnership.

1.

Maybe they need shares for more deals.

- Absolutely not. If they needed "shares for deals" they could just issue stock from the 60B that is authorized. This would not be optimal, but would be normal. (thank god they're not)

2.

Maybe they’re trying to signal to the market that we are undervalued.

- 100% without a doubt this is a reason they would announce/perform a buyback.. but surely not the only reason. (the CEO or this "they" involved in the buyback group could always just purchase shares on the open market

3.

Maybe a huge partnership.

- Certainly could be partners getting their feet wet and taking an equity stake

In summary... a buyback is without a doubt a very good indicator of confidence - and can do nothing but propel the stock upward
